Jewish Characters and Connections

Jewish Characters and Connections in the City of London
There has been a Jewish community in London since the 11th century on and off. The medieval community settled in an area off Cheapside until they were expelled in 1290, only to return during Cromwell's Commonwealth in the 17th Century. We will find clues to this history, hear about significant Jewish characters as we head to the east of the City, finishing at the moving memorials to the Kindertransport at Liverpool Street Station.
